Reserves lose to leaders

Glasgow City Reserves lost 3-0 to First Division League leaders Celtic today at Barrowfield.

Commenting on the match, City Reserves boss Fiona Baker said, "The first half was a very good game of football, with both sides creating chances. Unfortunately, from our point of view, we went behind to an error when one of our own players made our keeper spill the ball, and Celtic capitalised on this to go ahead.

"In the second half, we started poorly and were impatient and gifted them their second goal. It was obviously then a bt of an uphill struggle and although we had good possession at times, we were unable to turn any of this into real opportunities. With ten minutes left we conceded the third and final goal.

"Overall I think we showed in the first half that we are a decent team, but fitness in the second half became a problem for us and it showed."
