Nicola Docherty signs for City 
Glasgow City are delighted to announce Nicola Docherty as their first signing for the new season. The 19 year old full back joins from Rangers and is a key signing for the Scottish Champions.
Docherty has played at all Scottish youth levels and gained her first involvement with the full senior national team this season, when she was picked for the squad to face France last May and earned her debut four months later when she came on as a substitute in the friendly win over Finland.
Commenting on the signing, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “I have admired Nicky’s ability for a number of years now and I am delighted she has decided to join us. She fits the bill perfectly and has all the ingredients I look for in a Glasgow City player and defender. She is still a very young player and supplements our already young and very talented side. I have no doubt we will begin to see the very best of her over the next few seasons and I am thrilled it will be in a Glasgow City shirt. When you have a very good squad of players it is vital that you only make additions that can enhance the team and improve our challenge both at home and in Europe. With Nicky, we have most definitely done this and I look forward to working with her.”
