New City sponsors

The overwhelming support for Scottish Champions Glasgow City continues with Connaught Partnerships generously giving £1000 and Tom Peters of the Ceramic Tile Co donating £500.

City’s recent rise in profile, greatly aided by Real Radio, has helped highlight the funding challenges within Scottish Women’s football and City’s struggle to raise the necessary funds to compete in the last sixteen of the UEFA Women’s Cup in Norway.

However, thanks to the fantastic support of Musselburgh based Ceramic Tilers and social housing refurbishment and maintenance specialists, Connaught Partnerships, City are making great strides to their financial target to get to the Second Qualifying stage.

Martin Morrison, area director for Connaught in Scotland said: “Connaught is delighted to support Glasgow City LFC in its bid to become UEFA champions and we look forward to the team’s performance in Norway.  Working across many communities in Glasgow, we recognise the value and importance of investing in sports to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the city. Indeed, Connaught will continue to support our local teams across the many sporting disciplines in preparation for the ultimate test at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.”
