Montgomery - double century reached
Glasgow City captain, Laura Montgomery, reached the magnificent milestone of 200 appearances for the club in the recent 4-1 win over Edinburgh Ladies and with her recent form as good as it has ever been, there may yet be many more to come.
Now playing her 10th season with the club, a statistic not many other players around the league can match, Laura embodies what it means to be City through and through.
With her first season for the club virtually wiped out due to a cruciate knee injury, which required surgery, she has shown great fortitude in fighting back from this setback to mark this achievement.
Although one of the more senior players of the team these days, her recent form has been an example to all and many of the younger members of the club could learn much by following her example to look after yourself an prepare properly on a week to week basis.
Everyone associated with the club would like to extend their best wishes to Laura for this magnificent achievement and we look forward to seeing her pull on the Tangerine and Navy colours of the team, for a few years to come.
