Megan Sneddon reaches the half century

Glasgow City midfielder Megan Sneddon reached the remarkable milestone of 50 caps for Scotland last night in their 1-0 win over Belgium.

Sneddon who signed for City in 2006 obtained her first full senior cap one day off her 17th birthday and has rarely looked back. Aged just 22 years, she is currently and has been for a long time, a mainstay in the Scotland central midfield.

To have attained so many caps at such a young age is even more remarkable considering she had to step back from the national squad for over a year due to work commitments.

Her form for City has been as impressive as her international achievements and she is an integral part of City’s bid for the title this season.

Congratulations from all at Glasgow City to Megan for this great award and we look forward to her attaining even more international caps for her country.
