Megan nominated for award
Congratulations to Glasgow City and Scotland midfielder Megan Sneddon who has been nominated for East Kilbride Sports Personality of the Year.
Born, brought up and still living in East Kilbride, it is fantastic news that Megan has been recognised for her outstanding achievements in this past year.
Part of the successful Glasgow City first team, in 2008, Megan picked up Premier League Championship and a Premier League Cup winners medal, as well as being part of the side named Glasgow Team of the Year. She also of course helped Glasgow City make it to the last sixteen of Europe and was named Glasgow City Players Player of the Year and Managers Player of the Year for season 2007/08.
Having just returned from Cyprus, Megan has also now amassed a total of 61 senior international caps, an incredible feat for a player aged only 23 years old and having taken a year long break from international football a few seasons ago.
Glasgow City wishes Megan the very best for the Awards Ceremony which will take place on Tuesday 24th March at the Village Theatre, East Kilbride.
