Lisa and Jane on target as Scotland beat Poland 3-1

Glasgow City’s Lisa Evans and Jane Ross both hit the back of the net for Scotland last night in their 3-1 win against Poland in Gdansk in the international challenge match.

In total there were five City players in Scotland’s starting line up – Emma Fernon, Leanne Ross, Jo Love, Lisa Evans and Jane Ross and it was the combination of the City and Scotland strikers, which gave the Scots the lead.

Jane Ross delivered a cross into the back post for Lisa Evans to head in her second senior international goal in her first starting appearance.

Evans and Ross switched roles for the second goal, with Evans providing the cross for her Glasgow City team mate to head home.

The tempo dropped in the second half and the home side pulled one back.

But Scotland remained in control, and put the result beyond doubt in the 68th minute.

Evans was the provider again, sending a cross in to the head of Arsenal's Jennifer Beattie, which took a deflection off a Polish defender.
