Lindner reaches 100 League game milestone

Glasgow City striker Katharina Lindner reached the milestone of 100 Premier League games in Yesterday’s 3 -1 victory against Spartans at Petershill Park.

Katharina becomes only the 5th Glasgow City player to reach this total, following in the footsteps of current players, Laura Montgomery, Leeanne Campbell and Suzanne Lappin, and former player, Pauline McVey.

With Katharina currently in her best form of the season, everyone at the club is hopeful she can take this on into the UEFA Champions League Games, which begin this Thursday, with the first match of the mini-tournament in Northern Ireland, against the host club, Crusaders Newtownabbey Strikers.

Manager Peter Caulfield commented, “For any player to reach a century of league games for a club is an exceptional achievement and I am delighted for Katharina that she has managed to do this for Glasgow City.

“She is a very consistent performer for the team and is in excellent form at the moment and long may that continue. I expect Katharina to continue to add to her tally of games for Glasgow City and as one of the fittest and most dedicated players at the club, who knows what total of games she may eventually reach.”
