Leanne Crichton signs for Glasgow City

Glasgow City are thrilled to announce their second signing of the New Year with the arrival of Leanne Crichton from Hibernian.

The 24 year old midfielder becomes the latest addition for the Champions and is another key player to join the City ranks. A strong and gifted player, Leanne has good experience behind her having played for Celtic and most recently Hibernian.

City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black is excited to have got his target on board.

He said, “I am delighted to have secured the signature of Leanne, there is no doubt she is a very talented player. Once it was apparent that we needed another midfielder then we very quickly identified Leanne as the main target for this area. I don’t foresee her having many problems fitting into the team’s system and style of play. She has game intelligence, great vision and a range of passing that is without limit. Add the fact that she is brave and wants the ball all the time then this signing is very significant in our development as a team.”

Speaking of her move, Leanne said, “I am delighted to have signed for Glasgow City. It is an opportunity that I never thought I would get. I am hungry for success and at a stage of my career where I feel ready to take that next step. It’s a great team with a great set up and great players. I am excited for the season ahead.”
