Lauren's back on the road to recovery 
Glasgow City are delighted to announce that talented young midfielder Lauren McMurchie is back on the road to recovery after recent surgery.
Lauren underwent an operation last week to repair anterior cruciate ligament damage sustained recently on Scotland duty. Unbelievably, Lauren suffered the same injury in 2009 again on national duty.
Commenting on the news, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki said, “As far as we know, the operation went very well and Lauren is now on the road to recovery. We must thank the medical stafffor their excellent work. This is the second major operation for Lauren and for this to happen a second time at such a young age and so short a time after her full recovery it means sports issues are secondary, what really matters is that Lauren stays positive and shows the same determination to overcome this injury just like she did first time round. Lauren is very popular with her team mates and I know they are keen to dedicate this season to her. There is a real togetherness in this squad and that was shown when club captain Rachel Corsie and Jo Love visited Lauren the day after her operation. We wish her a speedy recovery and if ever good luck was needed then hopefully Lauren will now get her fair share.”
