Jo hits 100 cap milestone
A huge congratulations to Glasgow City’s Jo Love who attained her 100th Scotland cap at the Cyprus Cup.
Jo joined an elite group of only four players to reach 100 international caps when she took to the field against Canada last week. Even more remarkable is the fact that she is still only 25 years old.
Discussing her achievement, Jo said, “Jo said: "When i first started playing I didn't imagine that I would pick up 100 caps in my whole career. Not many other players have reached 100 caps so obviously it's a great honour and privilege to be at this stage at all, let alone at the age of 25.
"We have a very young squad at the moment, but the number of caps that we have between us shows the experience we have. Having people like myself, Gemma (Fay) and Julie (Fleeting) with over 100 caps, plus quite a few others who are catching us up, can only be good for the squad.”
Having started every match for Scotland at the Cyprus Cup, Jo returns with 102 caps and no doubt will achieve many more.
