City youth teams taking shape for 2013
We are delighted to report the development of our Youth Performance Academy.
As a club, which was a stand alone one team club, until a few years ago, we now have an incredible 8 teams, starting from Under 9 all the way up to our elite first team.
We have put a huge amount of investment and energy into our youth programme, with all focus entirely on development of the essential skills, to not only be a top footballer, but also for the important development of character.
Within only a couple of years, we are already witnessing the impressive results of our specific development programme which focuses on the technical abilities to be a Glasgow City Champions League star of the future.
We will never report on our youth teams every day scores. Results are not important to our youth programme, but development is and the result we crave is seeing our youth players pull on a first team jersey one day to compete at the very highest level.
Our Performance Academy is led by our Head of Youth Amy McDonald who works tirelessly along with our youth coaches to deliver the best possible programme to all of our young players.
If you are interested in finding out more about joining Glasgow City, please contact Amy directly on firstname.lastname@example.org
We are particularly interested in new players for our second Under 13 side and also welcome young players from age 6 years upwards for our Under 9’s.
We would like to give a special thanks to our SFA Development Officer Gary Doctor who has assisted our programme with some new footballs and bibs for our new young teams.
