Glasgow City turn out to support Beefy
In aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, Glasgow City players Emma Fernon, Lauren McMurchie and Christie Murray, along with Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black, completed the last leg of Sir Ian Botham’s - Beefy’s Great British Walk in Glasgow.
Joining City sponsor Douglas McCrea of McCrea Financial Services who’s company is the official Glasgow partner of the walk, the Scottish Champions turned out to support the event which has seen Sir Ian Botham raise vast sums of money for this wonderful cause, which now boasts nine in ten children with the most common form of leukaemia beating the disease
After starting in Glasgow yesterday, Sir Ian will walk through a further 9 UK cities, with the Glasgow walk featuring a number of well known faces not just from Glasgow City as Celtic Manager Neil Lennon also put on his walking boots for this fantastic event.
