City to take on Chelsea
Glasgow City fly down to London this weekend to take on English Super League team, Chelsea at their training ground in Cobham.
The match will be City’s first of the pre-season campaign and will also be the first for Assistant Coach to the First Team Donald Jennow.
Having worked at the club in charge of the technical side for youth development for the past year, Donald recently moved up to First Team to take charge of the Champions alongside Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black.
Looking ahead to his first full competitive match as a City First Team coach, Donald said, “I am really looking forward to Sunday’s match. It will be a massive challenge for us as Chelsea are one of the top sides in England and will most definitely be our toughest ever test. However, it is our first pre-season match and the chance to blow away some of the cobwebs and hopefully put some of the hard work from the training ground into practice. We have some changes in the squad as well, with some familiar faces not with us anymore on the playing front and of course some new face in, so it is exciting times ahead. Sunday will be my first match officially with the first team, but I have been with the club for a while now and it is a privilege to be working with so many talented players.”
