Glasgow City to face Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final

Glasgow City will face Celtic in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final, with the draw having been made live on Central FM during the week. In the other semi-final Rangers will face Hibernian. City’s match will take place at 3.15pm at Ravenscraig Football Centre on Sunday 6th October.

Commenting on the tough tie which lies ahead, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “In my time at the club I can't recall there being as strong a semi-final line up as there is this year. Therefore no matter who the draw paired us with it was always going to be a tough opponent. Before the draw I had no particular preferences other than wanting to be the later kick off. Being holders of the trophy we are determined to fight hard to try and retain it. We now know that to do so will require us to play very well, compete physically and take any opportunities that come our way.”
