Glasgow City stay top
Glasgow City remain at the top of the Premier League table after defeating Spartans 3-1 today.
Spartans opened the scoring through Diana Barry, but City responded with goals from Leanne Ross (penalty), Jane Ross and Sue Lappin to ensure the win for the Champions.
Manager, Peter Caulfield commented, “I am delighted to get three points from what was a difficult game. Our possession and passing was good to a point today but was not as slick as it has been recently, which was disappointing. I felt our focus was maybe on Europe this coming week and perhaps the team did not give today’s match their full attention.”
City now have one more training session before they head for Belfast on Tuesday morning. Keep up-to-date on City’s UEFA Champions League exploits by logging on to the website or following us on twitter. Your support is greatly appreciated.
