City start winning ways
Glasgow City defeated Lithuanian champions Gintra tonight in their second match of the UEFA Women’s Champions League first round.
Having lost to group favourites Bayern Munich in their first match, City were determined to secure three points against number two seeds Gintra.
City were the stronger side for most of the match, but had to wait until the second half before finding the back of the net. Goals from Ruesha Littlejohn and Jane Ross secured the three points for City, who now face Georgian Champions Norchi in their final match on Tuesday.
