Glasgow City seven play Swiss

Glasgow City have seven first team players involved in the Scotland international challenge matches, yesterday against Switzerland and Tuesday against Belgium.

City Captain Rachel Corsie, Jo Love, Emma Fernon, Leanne Ross, Jane Ross, Christie Murray and Emma Mitchell are all part of Scotland  Head Coach Anna Signuel’s 19 player squad, who hope to emulate their performances in the Champions League on to the international stage.

All City players took part in the Switzerland match, with striker Jane Ross netting two of the goals in Scotland’s 5-0 win.

On Tuesday, Scotland take on Belgium at the Falkirk Stadium, with kick off 7pm. The Switzerland and Belgium match are Scotland’s last preparation matches before the upcoming European Championship qualification ties against the Czech Republic and Lithuania at the start of September.

At the same time as the A squad meeting up, the Scotland Under 19’s are in action against Poland, with City defender Eilish McSorley included in Shelley Kerr’s squad.

Well done to all City players involved.
