Glasgow City receive sponsorship boost
UK ICT firm Northgate Managed Services sponsor SWF Premier League champions
Glasgow City FC have received a major boost after ICT firm Northgate Managed Services agreed to sponsor the SWF Premier League champions.
Currently leading the race for this season’s Premier League championship, City will take to the field with new sponsors Northgate proudly emblazoned on the sleeves of the team’s home shirts.
ICT firm Northgate has a Scottish base in Glasgow and is headquartered in Belfast, with more than 1,000 staff providing infrastructure services and ICT specialist managed services to public, private and third sector organisations across the UK.
James Turnbull, managing director of Northgate Managed Services, said: “We are absolutely delighted to become a sponsor for Glasgow City FC. Glasgow City has grown over the years to become a hugely professionally-run club with ambitions to compete at the very top of the game at home and in Europe.
“Similarly, Northgate has ambitions to grow its presence both in Scotland and across the UK through making IT work harder for our customers, delivering efficiencies and unlocking the potential of IT to transform organisations. This sponsorship complements our company strategy.
“We wish everyone at Glasgow City FC all the very best for this season’s run in and look forward to a successful partnership with the club.”
Northgate’s sponsorship complements Glasgow City’s current agreements with main club sponsor Greaves Sports and a host of associate sponsors including McCrea Financial Services.
City Captain Laura Montgomery said: “We’re delighted to welcome Northgate Managed Services as our latest sponsor.
“Northgate is a massive, reputable and national company and it is great to be associated with an organisation which is elite in its discipline – we also feel we are elite in our discipline so the partnership marries well.
“It goes without saying that we are all looking forward to the League run in and we know we will need to be at our very best if we wish to retain the league title.”
