Glasgow City progress in Henson Scottish Cup

Henson Scottish Cup holders Glasgow City eased into the 3rd round today with a 13-0 win over Second Division side Muireston United in Livingston.

The reigning Champions who currently hold all 3 domestic trophies showed little sign letting their grip on silverware slip with a convincing win. Four goals each for attacking duo Jane Ross and Emma Mitchell, were added to by strikes from Lisa Evans, Danica Dalziel, Emma Fernon, Leanne Ross and Ciara Barnes.

Commenting on the victory, City Head Coach, Eddie Wolecki Black said, “Our objective has been met with being in the draw for the next round, again on the back of another clean sheet and with 13 goals we cannot really complain. We passed the ball well, created a lot of chances, so the team and the coaching staff are really happy. Muireston worked very hard and gave their all and should definitely be proud of their efforts today.”

City's next match, will be their last before the mid season break when they take on Falkirk at Dunipace Juniors, Denny on Sunday 24th June at 2pm.
