Glasgow City prepare to face Celtic
Glasgow City take on Celtic tomorrow night knowing that 3 points will put them within one game of retaining the SWPL title and in turn lift their seventh consecutive Championship in a row.
Both teams go into the fixture high in confidence after winning at the weekend, with Celtic defeating Rangers 4-1 and City putting four goals with no reply past Aberdeen in the granite City. The away side have won every single match so far this season, meanwhile Celtic remain undefeated since the League split in June, to set up a cracker of a game tonight.
City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black, is confident his team is fully focused for what lies ahead. He said, “As a squad, we are really looking forward to the match. With the results at the weekend coupled with our own victory, we know we need only two wins to retain the title and knowing what the next 3 months contains for us, the quicker we get those two victories the better.
“Wednesday brings an opportunity to get us one of those victories and therefore the focus of the whole club needs to be 100% concentrated on getting maximum points against a Celtic team which has hit form and has been unbeaten in their last four matches.”
