City physio heads off to NZ

Glasgow City would like to offer a huge good luck message to First Team Physiotherapist Emma Mackie who leaves for New Zealand on Tuesday to take up a one year post at a renowned Sports Injury Clinic.

Emma, who has previous experience with Hibernian men’s youth sides as well as the Scottish National Rugby team, found the job offer too good to refuse and will be based in Napier, Hawke’s Bay. This is an area of great triathalon tradition, the sport in which Emma herself competes and is ranked sixth in the world for her age group.

Glasgow City have found Emma’s physiotherapist skills invaluable this season, particularly in their two European rounds when often Manager Peter Caulfield had more players on the treatment table than available for selection.
