City keeper in first Cap call
Congratulations to Glasgow City goalkeeper Laura Williamson who has been called up into the Scotland squad for the international friendly against Northern Ireland on Tuesday at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling.
Scotland boss Anna Signeul has announced a 20 strong squad for the Ireland match, the national side’s second friendly of the New Year. Williamson has faced tough competition for the number one spot at City and over the past couple of seasons the starting jersey has switched between herself and Angie Livingston. However, since the start of the year, Williamson has made it her own and some impressive shut outs for City has led to her first ever inclusion in the national squad. She joins City's Rachel Corsie, Leanne Ross and Megan Sneddon in Signuels squad.
Scotland’s World Cup Qualification campaign begins in October against Greece and Tuesday’s match will be vital preparation for this.
Kick off is 6.15pm.
