Glasgow City go nine points clear
Glasgow City went nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League after defeating bottom side Falkirk 13-0 last night away from home.

With five changes to the starting line up from the team who walked out on to the pitch against Forfar last Sunday, City showed no signs of disruption as Christie Murray got the scoring under way, finding the back of the net in the opening ten minutes. Further goals from Lisa Evans (3), Jane Ross (2), Emma Woolley and a first ever City goal for Amy McDonald, ensured the reigning Champions went in at half time with a very comfortable 8-0 lead.
In the second period Evans added another to take her tally to four on the night, Murray and Woolley both scored again and a brace from Katharina Lindner made it 13-0 to City at full time.
Commenting on the match, City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “It was a really good performance tonight. We scored some great goals from different areas and passed the ball really well and moved it quick. We are now three points closer to winning the title.”
There are no domestic fixtures this weekend due to Scotland international challenge matches. Good luck to the the Scotland contingent of Rachel Corsie, Emma Fernon, Leanne Ross, Christie Murray and Jane Ross. Jo Love and Emma Mitchell both miss out through injury.
