Glasgow City defeat Forfar

Glasgow City set themselves up nicely for their Champions League match on Wednesday at Petershill with a 5-0 win over Forfar Farmington at Station Park. The reigning Champions took the lead through a Leanne Crichton header, with Ruesha Littlejohn adding to the lead before the break. Second half goals from Danica Dalziel, Emma Mitchell and Nicky Docherty ensured Eddie Wolecki Black’s side go into their match against Danish side Fortuna Hjjørring full of confidence on Wednesday.

Commenting on the win Wolecki Black said, “Today was a good and strong performance by the team. There is no doubt many thoughts were already racing ahead to our Champions League match on Wednesday, which is the biggest match of our season so far and so I am delighted with how well the team performed. To score 5 goals and keep another clean sheet against a very strong Forfar side is very pleasing.”

City take on Fortuna Hjjørring of Denmark in the last 32 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday at Petershill Park, Springburn. Kick off is 7pm.
