City backed by Polaroid
Scottish Champions Glasgow City have had their UEFA Women’s Champions League preparations boosted by sponsorship from eyewear giants, Polaroid.
The City First team and staff have been kitted out with £1500 worth of sporty and fashionable frames to ensure they look good off the field as well as on it.
With the recent draw made at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, City have been pulled out of the hat to travel to Belfast where they will take on the Irish Champions – Crusaders Newtonabbey Strikers, Slovakian Champions - SK Slovan Bratislava and last year’s Champions League winners, German giants, Duisburg.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Polaroid UK and Ireland Sales Manager Rebecca Harwood Lincoln said, “We are delighted to give our support to Glasgow City. As national Champions they have represented their country extremely well in recent years in the Champions League and we wanted to do our best to support them in their campaign this year. With the games that little closer to home for the first time is also great news for Polaroid as we have a strong market in the UK and Ireland. We wish the girls every bit of success in the competition and are proud that they will be wearing our brand on their travels.”
