Glasgow City Under 13's match report
Glasgow City's Under 13s side got their new season underway when they played a friendly on Saturday morning.
The team havebeen working hard on their retention of the ballin preseason training. Among the other aspects the side have been concentrating on included positional play, moving the ball efficiently andhow to regain possession. All this work was quite evident during the game as the girls continually passedthe ball well through the lines of the team with Chloe and Murron working the width well trusting not only their own but also their team mates ability. Annie worked hard in midfield constantly looking to get the ball and link up with her teammates.
Commenting on the match U13s coach Laura Williamson said."The passing at times was a joy to watch and seeing the work from the training ground progress on to the pitch shows the coaches that he girls are really starting to get to know the style of play we are looking to see from them. For our first game back after a long break and with some new faces in the team the girls did really well. Keep up the hard work!"
