Glasgow City Under 13's lift the League Cup
Glasgow City Under 13's made club history today becoming the first ever City youth team to win a major trophy after they lifted the League Cup after defeating Falkirk 5-1 in the Final at Toryglen.
After disposing of Celtic in the semi-final, the City young guns, performed brilliantly once more with some fantastic team play throughout the whole match.
Backed by over 100 City fans, the first team stars of the future followed in the footsteps of their senior team, by picking up the League Cup, by scoring five past their final opposition and conceding only one.
Glasgow City and Scotland internationalists Jo Love, Leanne Ross and Emma Fernon were the proud role models on hand to present the trophy and medals to the winners, along with the player of the match award to City's Brogan Hay.
Falkirk put in a fantastic performance and battled City all the way in a final played in the best spirit possible, which was a credit to both teams and all supporters.
