City Umbro Cup Fixtures
The fixtures have been released for the group stages of the Umbro Cup in Manchester, with City facing Liverpool first.
The Manchester Umbro Cup is the UK’s most elite women’s football tournament in the UK and every year it forms a crucial role in City’s important pre-season. This year, the team will take part in the competition on Saturday 25th and Sunday 27th July, before flying out to Lithuania for the UEFA Women’s Champions League on 28th July.
Two years ago, City won the Umbro Cup, defeating top English side Everton in the final. In last year’s tournament Everton got their revenge, defeating City on penalties in the semi-final before going to win in the final against Irish champions Galway.

The top two in City’s group will progress to the Elite Trophy semi-finals, where they will face one of the top two teams from the opposing group. City and Everton are once more kept apart in the group stages. Everton however, will face Scottish side Hibernian in the group stages, with Hibernian having entered the competition for the first time.
