Danica Dalziel signs for Glasgow City
Glasgow City are delighted to announce the signing of Danica Dalziel.
Danica is City’s third recent signing from Celtic and returns to City, the club where she started her senior career, after a four year absence.
A tall, talented, gifted footballer, Danica is a former Scotland Under 19 internationalist who will slot well into the City side.
Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black commented, “Danica fits all my requirements for a centre-half. She has good pace, is good in the air and is great with the ball at her feet. I don’t think she has reached anywhere near the level her talent should take her and I very much look forward to working with her over the coming seasons.”
Danica said, “It is time for me to really focus on my football career. I don’t think I have been on the right path in recent times and there was only one club where I feel I can truly develop. I left City when I was pretty young and the experience of going to some other clubs has been good for me. It is now time however, to really focus and I cannot wait to get going with City. Already I can see at training what a great club they are and I am looking forward to the first game on Sunday against Birmingham.”
