City players re-sign en masse
Glasgow City Manager, Peter Caulfield, today expressed his absolute delight that following discussion with his players this week, they have expressed a unanimous will to remain at Glasgow City, with the following players having committed themselves to the club and now signed forms for the 2008/09 season:
With goalkeeper, Angie Livingstone, the only player remaining with whom the manager has still to hold talks, he is hopeful that she too will still see her future at City.
Caulfield said, “I think this is testament to the work we are doing at the club that there was no hesitation among the players to re-sign for next season, they are a fantastic group to work with and have improved so much this year and I am already looking forward to next season and building on what we have achieved so far.
“This was pretty much a new squad last August, with 9 new players coming in at various stages over the summer and although 2 players moved on in the early part of the season, we have continued to get better and improve as a team as the season progressed.
“There is a fabulous spirit now among the players and I am confident this group are going to lead the club to great success.”23.05.08
