Reserves struggle against Forfar

Glasgow City Reserves came up short today against Premier League side Forfar, going down 6-0.

City's second string struggled against an organised, experienced Forfar side, but will take some compensation from the fact that the vast majority of the team were missing from the starting line-up, including five internationals from last years line up. To make matters worse, an injury within fifteen minutes of the start forced goalkeeper Lee Alexander to play outfiled for the remainder of the match, to avoid City going down to ten players.

The match took place at Forfar's impressive training ground at Marketmuir, testament to the ambitions of the community club, who are at the fore of the development of the game in Scotland.
