Free girls coaching offer from Glasgow City 
Scotland’s top women’s football club, Glasgow City FC, are offering free coaching to young girls every Wednesday at their home ground of Petershill Park in Glasgow.
The City first team are the number one side in the country having dominated the domestic game for the last five years. However, while the first team compete at the highest level in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, they also develop the stars of the future and have Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 youth sides. For 2012, they will also have an Under 9 team.
The City Under 13’s only last week became the first Glasgow City youth side to win a major trophy when they lifted the League Cup, an impressive achievement considering City only began their youth policy 2 years ago.
The free coaching is available to any girl aged between 7 and 11 years of age and is every Wednesday between 4-5pm at Petershill Park, Adamswell Street, Springburn, Glasgow, G21 4DD.
All sessions are conducted by qualified Glasgow City coaching staff and will be a fun way to enjoy football over the summer whether you are an experienced player or trying the game for the first time.
At a time when there are still not many opportunities available to young girls to take up and enjoy the game, Glasgow City hope they can attract a few more young faces to the wonderful world of football.
To attend the coaching, there is no need to pre-register, simply turn up on a Wednesday and enjoy!
