Five City youngsters picked for Under 19's
Five Glasgow City Girls players have been selected for the eighteen strong Scotland Under 19 squad for the international ten nations tournament in La Manga, Spain.
Goalkeeper Lee Alexander is joined by centre half Eilish McSorley, striker Lisa Evans and midfielders Lauren McMurchie and Emma Mitchell. To have five players selected at this high level is an incredible achievement for Glasgow City Girls and testament to their fantastic season so far, which included Premier League scalp Boroughmuir in the Scottish Cup last weekend.
The Girls head off to Spain on 7th March for one week where they will face some of Europe’s highest ranking teams – Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
