Eilish McSorley receives first senior call up to Scotland squad

Congratulations to Glasgow City defender Eilish McSorley who has received her first ever senior call up to the national team as she joins 5 other City players in the Scotland squad to face Cameroon tomorrow.

The Scotland Under 19 Captain, joins City’s Emma Fernon, Nicky Docherty, Emma Mitchell, Leanne Ross and Jo Love in an 18 player Scotland squad. City Captain Rachel Corsie misses out due to work commitments, Jane Ross is on GB Olympic duty and Christie Murray remains injured and unavailable for selection.

The first women’s senior international match to take place in the Granite City, Scotland face Olympic hopefuls Cameroon at the Chris Anderson stadium, in the Aberdeen Sports Village for a 3pm Kick Off. Cameroon, have based themselves in Aberdeen in preparation for the Olympics which begin soon after and provide the perfect opportunity for a tough test for the Scots.
