City win training game
Glasgow City defeated Hibernian 7-0 today in a training match at Hibs training centre in Tranent.
Four goals from Leanne Ross and one each for Emma Mitchell, Clare Gemmell and Jane Ross rounded off an accomplished performance from the Champions.
Head Coach Eddie Wolecki was happy with City's display. He said, "Today was obviously our first match since the summer break and I expected the girls to be rusty, especially given the fact that they had a really heavy training session on Friday. However, I have to say they somewhat surprised me and I was more than happy with the display. We kept the ball extremely well today and that pleased me most. We now have some more hard training sessions on the way and then we can test ourselves against English premier opposition, Blackburn Rovers next weekend."
