City to face Hibernian and Blackburn

Glasgow City have lined up 2 games over the next two weekends to prepare for the re-start of the Scottish Women’s Premier League and their subsequent trip to Northern Ireland where they will play 3 games in 6 days, in Group 7 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

City will face Hibernian at the Hibernian Training Academy, in Tranent, on Sunday 18 July, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. The team will then travel on Sunday 25th July to English Premier League outfit Blackburn Rovers, for a game which will take place at Radcliffe Borough FC, with kick-off for this one scheduled for 2pm.

Manager Peter Caulfield was certainly looking forward to both fixtures when he said, “These games against two very good teams will allow us to work on a few things as well as sharpen the fitness of the players for the resumption of the league season against Spartans on 1st August and then our Women’s Champions League campaign, which we depart for two days later.”
