City sponsor offering free first aid training workshops

New Glasgow City sponsor, Stewart First Aid Training, one of Scotland largest independent first aid training companies, are hosting a series of free first aid training workshops in their training headquarters in Glasgow, in support of Scottish First Aid Week from 24th November to 1st December.

Joanna Dunbar, Managing Director of Stewart First Aid Training, said “listening to feedback from our delegates we discovered that many people don’t get the opportunity to learn basic lifesaving skills. With Scottish First Aid week coming up we knew it was the perfect opportunity to give something back. We are running three workshops over the week covering first aid for children, sports and winter. Many of our key clients are attending and bringing along spouses and partners, particularly on the First Aid for Children workshops”.

“We are thrilled by the response we have had and educating people in first aid is something we are extremely passionate about. If we can empower people with simple first aid techniques that can help save a life, we would be delighted.”

Lynn Cormack from Kwik Fit said “I think it is a great idea. I organise training on behalf of my colleagues at work, but wouldn’t know what to do myself if someone suddenly became ill.  I am grateful to have the chance to attend a first aid session so I can learn some life saving techniques should they ever be required.”

Stewart First Aid Training will be running free themed workshops through 2013.  Details can be found on their facebook page or via email at info@stewartfirstaid.com.
