City seven make Scotland squad to face Wales

Glasgow City are delighted to announce that seven first team players have been selected for the upcoming Scotland international challenge match against Wales on Sunday 13th February, Bridge Meadow Stadium, Haverfordwest.

Out of Anna Signuel’s total squad of eighteen, City are thrilled to have so many players chosen to represent their country, with Leanne Ross, Emma Fernon, Megan Sneddon, Jane Ross, Christie Murray, Sue Lappin and Rachel Corsie, all making the cut for the important match.

Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black was delighted for the players. He said, “It is testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole squad that we have such a large number selected for Scotland. The girls’ pre-season has been going excellently and I am really pleased that they obviously showed this at the training camp last weekend, enabling them to make the squad.

"On top of today’s good news with the A Squad, we also have Emma Mitchell, Lisa Evans and Lauren McMurchie all selected for the Scotland Under 19 trip to La Manga, with Eilish McSorley only missing out through injury, so really well done to all the players, I am delighted for them.”
