City prepare to face Forfar

It’s back to Premier League action this Sunday and Champions Glasgow City welcome Forfar Farmington to Petershill Park for a 2pm kick off in a match sponsored by Laura McGill.
With confidence high after an impressive display against Queens Park in their last outing, City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black is hoping his side’s form continues against Forfar.
He said, “As a club we are looking forward to the game for a variety of reasons. Firstly it gives us an opportunity to play in front of our home crowd for the first time in over a month. Secondly we have started to play well recently and want to maintain that form and finally it is an opportunity to increase our challenge at the top of the table.
“We know it is a different Forfar side we will face in comparison to recent years. However we will pay them the full respect they deserve and I have asked the players to play at full throttle to ensure we do our best to gain the three points. Forfar have had a few weeks to work on things in training and I am sure they will be determined to foil our plans. Therefore it is imperative that we are alert and fully focused for the challenge.”
The City squad is boosted by the return of Abbi Grant to the side after the Scotland Under 19 international missed last Sunday’s match due to a knock picked up on international duty. The attacking player, signed from Forfar in the close season will be delighted to be in selection contention and will be hoping for a starting berth against her old side.
Entry to Glasgow City v Forfar is by cash gate. Adults £5, concessions £3 and children under 16 go free.
