City girls support McCrea FS in the Great British Walk
Glasgow City’s Emma Fernon, Lauren McMurchie and Christie Murray will be at Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge tomorrow to cheer on City sponsor Douglas McCrea, of McCrea Financial Services, famous ex cricketer, Sir Ian Botham and many, many others as they take on the final leg of Beefy’s Great British Walk in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
This year Sir Ian will walk through 10 UK cities, starting in Glasgow on Thursday the 12th April. As the official Glasgow partner, McCrea’s have made a donation to help what is a wonderful cause that now sees nine in ten children with the most common form of leukaemia beat the disease. It would be wonderful if this could be ten out of ten
Beefy will be walking from Glasgow city centre to the beautiful Drumpellier Country Park where you can join him and his celebrity friends to walk the final 4 miles and support him all the way to the finish line. Why not get some fresh air, have some family fun and be a part of something unique and get along to support the walkers, or even join in! You may even get a City player to sign an autograph or two.
It's the people on the walk; the patients, the families, the ordinary people who want to do something extraordinary, who have raised £13million with Beefy since he began walking to beat blood cancer in 1985.
If you want to enter Beefy’s Great British Walk - entry fees (£15 for adults, £5 for under 12s) and this covers your entry, a walk t-shirt, support and medal.
