City crash out of Cup
Glasgow City crashed out of the SWPL Cup last night, losing 2-1 to Hibernian after extra time in the semi-final.
City took the lead in the opening 20 minutes through Jane Ross and held this single goal advantage until Hibernian equalised through Rebecca Dempster in the last ten minutes.
Extra time ensued and Dempster once more proved goalscorer and match winner as she converted unmarked with a header to put HIbs into the SWPL Cup Final.
Overall, it was a very disappointing night for City. Despite enjoying the majority of possession they failed to show any of their recent displays of quality and will be keen to quickly put this below par performance behind them.
