City continue where they left off 
After the short summer break, Glasgow City emphatically continued where left off with a 10-0 win over Inverness in Dingwall.
With new signings Amy McDonald and Lee Alexander starting on the bench, City showed their intent right from the start putting pressure on the five player back line which the home side had set up. Emma Mitchell, Danica Dalziel and Kat Lindner all went agonisingly close in the opening minutes before Dalziel put her side in the lead. Linder jinked her way past a defender on the touchline before setting up Dalziel at the edge of the box and the tall defender hit a perfect first time low powerful shot into the bottom corner.
Five minutes later and Lindner was on the scoresheet herself as she controlled a cross field ball from Eilish McSorley before firing home.
Less than a minute later and it was 3-0 to the visitors as midfielder Emma Woolley hit a brilliant shot into the top corner. A handball from Inverness gave City a penalty and Jo Love stepped up to finish from the spot.
Before half time it was 5-0 as Christie Murray beat Kim Jappy in the Inverness goals to the ball before playing it across the box for Lindner to score into the empty net. 
In the second half, City made a number of changes bringing on all five substitutes but it did nothing to halt their impressive display.
Captain Rachel Corsie scored her side’s sixth goal as she combined with fellow centre half Eilish McSorley. The pass of the match came from McSorley as she hit a low drive straight onto the run of her team mate, which Corsie controlled with ease before side footing into the corner past Jappy.
Six minutes later Jane Ross collected a pass from the instrumental Murray before firing home.
Clare Gemmell made it 8-0, firing home at the second attempt after Jappy had saved her first effort.
Lindner got her hat-trick combining again with Murray to hit goal number nine and she returned the favour moments later as Murray completed the rout, making it 1-0 to City.
Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black commented on the match. He said, “I am really with our performance especially as it is our first game back. We were very patient and retained the ball well and also pleasing was the fact that we had eight different goalscorers today.”
