With seconds remaining, City rounded off a good performance to make it 6-1, when Debbie Garment lobbed the Queens keeper after being played in by Thomson.
Reserves boss, Fiona Baker said, “After the good performance last week the girls went into today’s game full of confidence that they could pick up three points. The early goal set us off and it quickly calmed the game down. We managed to set the pace of the game and controlled the majority of possession in the first half. After opening the scoring, we had numerous chances to go 2 or 3 up but some poor finishing and the cross bar denied us. Going in 2-0 at half time the game was anything but over, and Queens Park started the 2nd half much stronger and managed to get one back. At that point it would have been easy for the girls to lose focus, but we managed to regain control of the game when we scored our third goal. After that, I thought it became far more comfortable for us and similar to last week I thought we played very well today and had a lot of good possession. We passed the ball really well and in the end this helped us to a comfortable victory.
