City 15's win at Kilwinning
Glasgow City Under 15’s defeated Kilwinning 2-1 today in Ayrshire.
Proudly wearing their new orange Glasgow City strips, the City youngsters had an outstanding match from start to finish against a very tough Kilwinning side. On target for City was Alexandra Wells who scored both of her side’s goals. Her first was straight from a City corner and her second a well placed shot after beating the Kilwinning defender to create the scoring opportunity.
Coaches Stuart Glover and Kirsty McNicol were proud of their team. Stuart said, “Kirsty and I are delighted with the commitment and performance today. I thought we passed the ball and were communicating a lot better than in previous weeks. Last night in particular we worked with Head Coach Eddie Wolecki and were guided by the City first team and I think that really made a difference for the girls. Overall it was a fantastic performance and the team can be really pleased with their efforts.”
