City Under 15's draw with Falkirk
Glasgow City Under 15’s recorded a 1-1 with Falkirk Academy at home yesterday.
Watching the game was City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki, who commented on the match as follows.
“It was a typical game of two halves yesterday. Falkirk were by far the better team in the first period with a few players in particular causing us a number of problems and at times we were saved by some poor finishing. They did however take the lead and we had a couple of chances ourselves through Lauren Ray to pull a goal back, but were unable to make the breakthrough.
“In the second half, we totally dominated and some good goalkeeping from Falkirk kept them ahead. However, our girls got their just reward when five minutes from full-time, Amber Clark ran through and fired across the keeper into the far corner of the net to equalise. We then pushed for the winner, but were almost undone when Falkirk had a shot which hit the post in the last minute.
“Overall, I thought we thoroughly deserved a point and credit to the girls and coach Kirsty McNicol for making some very good coaching points at half time.”
