Big hearted companies sponsor City
Sponsorship money has started to come in from a number of generous companies who have offered to help Glasgow City finance their trip to Oslo for the last sixteen of the UEFA Women’s Cup.
Having just paid out £15,000 to get to the first round in Serbia, City are struggling to raise the necessary cash in such a short time scale to allow them to compete in the Second Qualifying stage in Oslo in a couple of weeks.
Civil Engineering and Plant company JC Allan of Neilston have stepped in with £500 as have SBS Security (Scotland) Ltd in New Stevenston.
Global giant Aggreko have sponsored City to the generous amount of £1000.
The support Glasgow City has received so far has been overwhelming and they hope it can continue over the next week or so, allowing the team to compete at the highest level in European football.
