13 young girls make a bit of City history
Glasgow City Under 13’s today made a little bit of club history by becoming the first ever City youth team to reach a Cup Final after they defeated Celtic Under 13’s 5-4 to progress to the League Cup Final.
13 players in total were part of today’s victorious squad and while as a club, we do not put any focus on results at any youth level and aim everything to be about performance, today is a day to recognise 13 very talented young girls who have become etched in our club’s history books.
To Sophie Allison, Murron Cunningham, Kenzi Dickson, Katie Rice, Olivia Crawford, Brogan Hay, Chantelle Knox, Karsey McGlinchey, Saorsie Reynolds, Emma McLean, Megan Whiteford, Jamie-Leigh Fenney and Lucy Ronald – well done girls and good luck in the final.
A special congratulations also goes to our coaches Tommy Little, Laura Williamson and Laura Daly.
The final will take place on Saturday 23rd June at Toryglen and the girls will face Falkirk. It will be the perfect day to watch our youngsters in their first final before heading to our Sports Person’s Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the evening.
